Security Officer - Part Time Screener

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. At Allied Universal, you will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, all while putting people first and operating with integrity.

Pay Rate : $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day

Wed 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, vehicles, and / or packages entering or exiting the premises to help to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required by site-specific procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
