[job_card.job_description]Follow established standards of nursing practices and implementcommunity programs policies and procedures Obtainreport from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty;record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary. Conduct resident rounds daily reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately Identify resident problems and emergency situationsand initiate emergency care per physicians orders in the absence of a physician Provide supervision todirect careassociatesproviding direct resident care Attend staff meetingsin-service classes and committee meetings as assigned Review the Glucometer Control Log prior to testing for blood sugar levels Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population Comply with community processes related to painassessment / management / documentation providing treatments and delivering medications Competently perform basic nursing skills as per your licensure Follow Community discharge / transfer procedure / documentation and coordinate discharge / transfer with other departments physicians and ancillary service providers Supervise response to residents call for assistance Listen to resident family or physician concerns and initiate corrective action and / or report concerns to Nursing Supervisor. Count narcotics check emergency kit and exchange keys each shift Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing Unencumbered RN license Proof of current CPR certification Ability to work flexible schedule Minimum 1 year experience as an LVN / RN in a clinical setting preferred Excellent interpersonal skills Reliable transportation
