Relationships : Initiates the development of relationships with influential leaders to impact and strengthen CPC's target audience. Influence : Is recognized as an inspirational community leader who navigates complex business relationships with ease and authenticity. Communication : Communicates to engage and inspire people within and outside CPC. Project Management : Creates a structure to deliver company-wide results to achieve objectives. Are you a visionary leader with a passion for building relationships and driving impact? Community Progress Council (CPC) is seeking an experienced Director of Development to join our leadership team and champion a culture of philanthropy that transforms lives in York County.
This is a high-impact role with big shoes to fill as our outgoing Director has built a strong foundation of donor relationships and fundraising success. Now, we’re looking for someone who can build upon that momentum and take CPC’s development strategy to the next level.
As the Director of Development, you will design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that fuels CPC’s mission to empower individuals and families to move toward economic self-sufficiency. This is your opportunity to lead bold initiatives, cultivate major donors, and build upon the foundation for continued fundraising success.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement multi-faceted fundraising campaigns, including annual giving, planned giving, special events, grants, and capital campaigns.
- Lead and execute capital campaigns from strategy to completion, including donor cultivation, solicitation of major gifts, and stewardship to achieve ambitious fundraising goals.
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors, community leaders, and philanthropists.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Board of Directors, Fund Development Committee and Communications team to craft compelling cases for support.
- Mobilize board members and volunteers to expand CPC’s base of support.
- Manage donor database, gift acknowledgments, and sponsorship fulfillment processes.
- Aggressively seek new funding sources while nurturing existing donor relationships.
