A Day in the Life
Medtronic is seeking experienced assemblers to join our Billerica site. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and precision of our products.
The ideal candidate will have experience in freehand soldering under a microscope and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 10 pm - 6 : 30 am (3rd shift / overnight)
Environment : Cleanroom standards apply. PPE is provided and must be worn in the manufacturing area.
Compensation :
- Base hourly rate : $24 / hr + $3 / hr shift differential for 3rd Shift
- Quarterly Operations Incentive bonus

Key Responsibilities :
Perform precise freehand soldering of components under a microscope to meet detailed specifications and quality standards.Conduct quality checks and inspections on soldered components to ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve assembly challenges.Maintain accurate records of work completed, including quality assurance documentation and process logs.Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and tools.Train and mentor junior team members as required.Minimum Qualifications (Must Have!) :
Requires minimum of 4 years of experienceProven experience in freehand soldering under a microscope in a manufacturing or regulated environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to work with small components.Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Must have professional proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.Preferred Qualifications (Must Have!) :
Prior experience in the medical device or electronics industry.Knowledge of ISO and FDA regulations related to manufacturing.Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
