Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Windsor, VA

Contract Duration : 14 Weeks

Shift : Day Shift (1)

Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (30-minute meal break)

Job Description :

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive therapy services to patients within a skilled nursing / rehabilitation environment. The role involves assessing communication and swallowing disorders, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered therapy.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
  • Deliver therapy sessions focused on functional communication, swallowing safety, and cognitive rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT, OT, nursing, and case management.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals and strategies to support functional improvement.
  • Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to overall patient management discussions.
  • Follow all regulatory, professional, and ethical standards.

Requirements :

  • Active and unrestricted SLP license in the state of assignment.
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous SNF or rehab experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
