As a Senior Software Engineer (Tools) on the Hextech Developer Experience team, you will bring technical knowledge and skills to the tools domain to develop and improve solutions to complex and diverse game development challenges. You will report to an Engineering Manager who will support you by providing connection, alignment, and mentoring to achieve player, Riot, and personal growth goals.

Responsibilities :

Collaborate with and build game content tooling to support cross-disciplinary teams (including Game Designers, Artists, Animators, and Producers)
Define technical requirements, scope, and estimation of quarterly projects
Build new features and tools in the Hextech Engine used by TFT and League of Legends
Collaborate with engineering teammates and teams across the League studio
Build features and offerings in a mature software environment with a focus on software quality and stability

Required Qualifications :

5+ yrs collective professional experience using C / C++

2+ yrs collective professional experience using Python

Familiarity with building game content, tools, or pipelines

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or comparable field or equivalent experience

Desired Qualifications :

Familiarity with unit and integration testing of software

Experience providing direct user support and troubleshooting

Experience with game development

These duties are directly related to essential operations, safety, trust, and compliance obligations within our organization. Please note that job duties may evolve based on business needs and additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary to maintain operational efficiency and security.

(Mercer Island only) Base salary range between $161,500.00 - $227,000.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
