Job Details

  • Rotating shifts Monday through Friday with 8 or 10 hour shifts starting and ending between 0700-1900.
  • Call based on department needs, currently one day during the week and as needed on weekends.
  • Holiday call hours.
  • Experience required includes robotic experience and scrub nurse experience is helpful.
  • Must have EPIC experience, at least 2 years of OR experience, and prior travel experience.
  • May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed.

    • Job Requirements

  • Must have current nursing license verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start.
  • Completion of FACIS Questionnaire if any disciplinary actions exist.
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment.
  • BLS certification (AHA) required prior to onboarding.
  • Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics with minimum 80% score.
  • Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%.
  • Completion of Ascension Epic Test-Out and Training Checklist with signed attestation.
  • Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment with minimum 80% or national benchmark passing score.
  • Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer.
  • Fit Test required, preferred prior to start, updated annually.
  • Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season or mask wearing if exempted.
  • Positive PPD requires negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Driver's License or State ID must be current and match address on file.
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing required with TB questionnaire updated annually.
  • Documentation of two Varicella vaccines or serological evidence of immunity.
  • Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years required.
  • Completion of Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
  • Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start.
  • Third-party employment verification for past seven years.
  • Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start, updated annually for specialty.

  • Ascension Resume required for submission.
  • Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation must be completed and uploaded.
  • Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
  • Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules required prior to clearance.
  • Ascension Badge Photo required with specific background and no alterations.
  • Ascension Criminal Background Check including multiple verifications completed within 30 days of first assignment and updated annually.
  • Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start and rerun if break in service >

    • 90 days.

  • Ascension Confirmation of Assignment required upon initial assignment and updates upon extension.
  • Ascension Employment Verification updated annually or if break in service >

    • 90 days.

  • Hiring Manager Evaluation is optional post-assignment.
  • Ascension Name Change Document optional for legal name changes.
