We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dedicated therapy team. This role is ideal for a COTA who is passionate about helping residents improve independence, function, and quality of life in a supportive care environment.
Position Overview
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation and the supervising Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in accordance with state practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Implement treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist and physician orders
Monitor resident response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the therapy team
Complete daily treatment notes and all required documentation in compliance with state regulations
Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal resident outcomes and quality of life
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program (Associate’s degree) recognized by AOTA
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing (required)
Experience working with the geriatric population preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
