Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Patrol in Elk Grove Village, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for clients and visitors. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $24.35 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time Mon 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Tue 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Thur 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM Fri 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, using problem-solving skills to address each situation appropriately.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and / or contractors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Document observations, incidents, and / or activities in daily reports as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
