Assistant Professor in Mathematics

Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics on the Gainesville campus at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2026. This is a full-time tenure-track position with benefits.

Responsibilities

• The faculty member will be expected to teach a total of twenty-four credit hours per academic year (August to May) and to engage in service and scholarly activities.

Required Qualifications

• A doctorate in mathematics or closely related field is required at the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
• Service and scholarly activities are expected.
