Data Entry Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient entry of data related to patient information, charges, and reconciliation processes. This opportunity offers a chance to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while utilizing your data entry expertise.

Responsibilities :

  • Accurately register patients by inputting their demographic and insurance details into the system.
  • Process and enter charge information related to radiology services with precision.
  • Conduct batch reconciliation audits to verify data accuracy and ensure completeness.
  • Post charges and finalize batches before moving on to subsequent tasks.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like athenahealth.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Uphold confidentiality and accuracy while handling sensitive patient information.
  • Perform regular quality checks to identify and correct any discrepancies in data entry.
  • Generate reports as needed to support internal auditing and administrative processes.

Requirements :

  • Proven experience in data entry, particularly numeric data entry, with high accuracy.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably athenahealth.
  • Proficiency in typing and computer data entry applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain data integrity.
  • Previous experience in charge entry for radiology or similar fields is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data confidentiality and compliance standards.
