[job_card.job_description]Verify and deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients using various treatment modalities obtain patient history, answer patient questions, and explain procedure; observe patient for any unusual reactions or events during treatment and record all information accurately. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and / or infection control standards. Position patient for treatment and document simulation parameters Schedules patients for treatments; interfaces with physicist at initiation of treatment; consults with supportive care physicians, nurses, and other staff as needed. Ensure billing procedures Perform and document daily Quality Assurance Perform simulations Provide emotional support to patients when necessary Maintains appropriate licensing and certification Performs other job-related duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- One year of RT experience preferred
- Education as required by current state laws and ordinances
- California State License & National License
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy
