About the Role :

The Store Security Specialist ensures a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both associates and customers, serving a visible role at our store entrances and throughout the sales floor. You will proactively deter theft and fraud while engaging customers with friendly greetings and maintaining a 'command' presence in your company-issued attire. You will also assist with enforcing our Code 50 package inspection policy and collaborate with store leadership to minimize losses.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensuring Safety and Security : Promote a culture of safety by maintaining a secure environment and providing a visible presence in the store.
  • Customer Engagement : Greet customers warmly, provide helpful assistance, and foster positive relationships throughout the store.
  • Supporting Team Collaboration : Work with internal teams and external partners to enhance store loss prevention initiatives.
  • Monitoring Theft and Fraud : Identify suspicious behaviors, gather indicators of theft, and communicate effectively with store and loss prevention leaders.
  • Creating Awareness : Train associates on practices for minimizing operational shortage and ensure adherence to proper checkout procedures.

    • Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
  • One year of retail supervisory experience or similar training preferred.
  • One year of loss prevention / security training preferred.
  • Active Security Guard License preferred.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must comply with all applicable regulations and undergo background screening as necessary.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for the entire shift.
  • Ability to lift or lower objects weighing more than 25 lbs.
  • Regular bending, stooping, or crouching may be required.

    The base pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50, varying based on experience and location. We offer a competitive total compensation package with added benefits.
