Software Engineer (Backend Engineer)

We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a mission-driven team with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems at one of our Fortune 100 partners in New York City. You will be part of an innovative technology group who's focused on creating their next generation of leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop business applications, integrate software, and design custom technology solutions for specific business outcomes
• Work with peers to carry out code reviews and unit testing of new development
• Interact with other development teams to ensure a consistent approach to software development.
• Communicate professionally and effectively to clients, management, and other departments.
• Establish a working relationship and facilitate on-going dialog with technical leads, team members and managers
• Develop an understanding of the insurance industry and products

Experience:

• 2+ years' enterprise experience of Java and SQL development
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Driven, hard worker willing to further themselves and learn new skills
• Ability to commute to the office on a hybrid schedule
