Job Overview:

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This position will be directly reporting to the Head of Project Management.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Project Managers in managing all aspects of custom and generic projects.
  • Keep Project Managers informed of any blocking issues that will have an impact of the project status.
  • Intra-departmental coordination of projects and logistic support to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time-frame.
  • Initiation, planning and monitoring of assigned projects.
  • Communicate and update customers on the status of their projects in a timely manner.
  • Prepare agendas and minutes of internal and external meetings.
  • Review, drive and – where appropriate - compile status reports.
  • Provide suggestions to the Project Management Office for work flow optimization and communication improvement within the company.
  • Demonstrate problem solving capabilities to resolve situation promptly and efficiently to ensure on time deliveries and to maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • B.S. or equivalent degree in chemistry/biochemistry or related life science discipline is required.
  • Familiarity with industrial/pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP preferred.
  • Project Coordination related experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skill, self-motivated and a team player.
  • Excellent writing, report preparation and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English language, spoken and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is located in Torrance, CA and does not offer relocation assistance.

Experience:

  • Project Coordination in Pharmaceutical GMP Manufacturing: 1 year
  • Project Coordination: 3 years

Education:

  • Bachelor's in life science or Chemistry related.
