Network Engineer - (Experienced) (Onsite)

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced High Security Operations (HSO) Network Administrator to join our team. As the HSO Network Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the computer systems and database networks of our organization to ensure their proper maintenance and security. This position reports directly to the HSO Mission IT Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Cyber Security and program staff to identify network or computer system requirements
• Oversee the installation of new network hardware or software and ensure proper configuration
• Respond to customer requests for networks under your supervision
• Install, configure, and manage computer infrastructure, including routers, switches, and cables, to support our organization's computer networks
• Administer applications and ensure network security and connectivity
• Manage user accounts and provide technical support as needed

Due to the nature of the work, this candidate must work onsite.

Salary Range:

$81,900 - $185,700

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or relevant discipline plus, five (5) or more years of experience, or equivalent: (AS + 9 or no degree + 13)
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (such as OSPF and BGP), switching technologies, VLANs, VPNs, and other networking concepts
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues efficiently. This includes diagnosing network failures, performance bottlenecks, and implementing appropriate solutions
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or Network Systems Administrator
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q level clearance, and SCI which may require a polygraph

Qualifications We Desire:

• Certifications: Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA)
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and managing computer infrastructure
• SCI Clearance Sec+ or Net+ Certification
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
