Competitive Salary Range : $123,077-$400,000 Paid Time Off : days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Malpractice : Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. The Salisbury VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated, part-time, board-certified Breast Surgeon to join our highly esteemed team. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about breast cancer prevention and treatment. The VA provides an opportunity to develop a comprehensive approach to care for over 15,000 female veterans at this location, as well as the potential to contribute to the development of programs for VISN at a national level.
Administrative Duties :
- Attend staff meetings, maintain clear communication, and prepare briefs on adverse outcomes.
- Oversee clinic operations, documentation, productivity, performance measures, quality, safety, and process improvements.

Requirements
U.S. Citizenship : Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education : A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure : Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency : Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty
Board Certification : Candidates must be board-certified or board eligible.
