Overview :
Our client is looking for an Associate Technical Program Manager with strong technical acumen and financial services experience to spearhead smaller or less complex projects in a dynamic environment. This person will support the development of a technical roadmap as part of the firm's strategic vision, as well as long-term business goals. They will also lead and coordinate the technical delivery of smaller projects to ensure that tactical efforts line up with future state goals and offer guidance to stakeholders and teams to facilitate technology delivery best practices and adherence to the digital transformation objectives.
This person will oversee technical and business resources, create and maintain an achievable schedule, and follow the Agile methodology. This oversight and governance include management of technical program issues, risks, and change requests to ensure the success of tactical and strategic objectives. This person will also play an active role in process efficiency initiatives regarding technology delivery, automation, and digital roadmap.
The ideal resource will be an emerging IT leader and will have experience in managing resources of different technical skills and capabilities in a matrixed environment. They should also be able to create efficient strategies and utilize different delivery methodologies as needed to make sure that all technology projects contribute to the overall technology roadmap and the transformational journey.
Responsibilities :
- Lead multiple, smaller programs across multiple lines of business; organize teams and deliverables that conform to the business and strategic goals
- Deliver Jira / Confluence dashboards for reporting Portfolio results
- Build and monitor critical KPIs to evaluate program health and identify areas for improvement; ensure alignment of the cost to benefit to maximize ROI. Support the establishment of portfolio metrics and reporting to support the Transformation portfolio.
- Spearhead the full development and execution lifecycle from ideation through deployment and operational readiness
- Produce program specific reporting, execute agile framework, required artifacts and presentations regarding technical program milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to various key stakeholders, including program sponsors and senior leadership
- Play an active role in creating best in class practices, templates, guidelines, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the team
- Participate in and lead achievability assessment, vendor selections RFPs, and business case proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders and executive leadership
- Build and grow a trusted technology partner relationship with product owners and business stakeholders
Create regular checkpoints with program stakeholders and subject matter experts to provide progress updates and a forum for key decisions and escalations
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or science-related discipline OR 10+ years of progressive technical experience required (Master’s degree preferred)2-4+ years of technical project management experience in SDLC methodologies, Agile-SCRUM / Waterfall, or similar working with technical and business stakeholders within a dynamic and highly matrixed environment2-4+ years of structured technology delivery experience with success in implementing program dashboards in Jira / Confluence4-6+ years of experience in financial services; heavy technology experience is preferred.Solid foundation of technology delivery methodology including financial management, metrics tracking and reporting, stakeholder / resource management, and executive communication proficiencySuperb communication, influence, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to influence up, across and down within multiple business and technology organizationsDemonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving technology environment demonstrating the ability to work with engineering, architecture, and development partnersExcellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills; experienced presenting to stakeholders and Senior LeadershipSelf-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demandsExperience influencing and cementing engagement diverse team members, stakeholders and peersProficient in the use of MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and collaborative project management tools like Jira, Teams, and / or SharePoint.Intermediate knowledge of key business platforms, nCino, Salesforce, Loan Origination and Servicing applications, as well as core banking systemsCertified Scrum Master (CSM) credential or equivalent Agile certification required
Compensation :
$40 - $50 per hour - Dependent on fit and experience.
