Job Description

The Financial Controller position is designed as a true all-rounder post leading a small team. Key areas of responsibility include :

  • Financial and Management reporting, including presentation to SLT and Board
  • Leading a team and overseeing financial transactions and operations, payroll and month end close processes
  • Budgeting and Forecasting cycles and associated analysis of performance
  • Leading business through audit and ensuring controls are fit for purpose
  • Ensuring tax compliance requirements are met

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have :

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Membership with a recognised professional accounting body (e.g., CPA or CA).
  • Proven experience in financial management, ideally gained within the industrial or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements - a strong preference for audit or transaction services background gained in practice.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
