American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring a MA RN license, Epic experience, and night shift availability.

Job Details

  • Position is in the hospital float pool, covering Med / Surg and Telemetry units,
  • Primarily cares for adult Med / Surg and telemetry patients,
  • 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required,
  • Epic EMR experience is required and will be used daily,
  • No call requirement,
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,

Job Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand is required,
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,
  • 2-3 years of related Med / Surg Tele nursing experience required,
  • Experience in ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management required,
  • CCRN certification preferred,
  • Epic charting system experience is mandatory,
  • Must pass ECG / telemetry and medication tests on day one orientation,
  • COVID vaccine with booster and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions allowed),
  • Previous employees (Travel, Perm, Per Diem) must have a 6-month break before returning,

    • Additional Information

  • Must float to all required units as determined by facility needs,
  • Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, recognizing cardiac issues, ventilator management, and medication administration,
  • One orientation provided per month,
  • No time off requests will be considered during the contract,
  • Scrub / dress code policies provided by facility,
  • Parking may incur a daily charge,
