Clinical Licensed Pool/Clinical Documentation Specialist

**This is a CDS role and the candidiate needs experience as a CDS**

Onsite in hospital tele/ICU or floors - 20 reviews/day

Days only no weekends/evening, we are closed on UCSD Holidays

Required: BSN or FMSG

Preferred: CCDS or CDIP

Additional Department Details:

Performs complex reviews of patient s medical documentation, evaluating quality measures, consistency, completeness of documents, and accuracy for severity of illness (SOI) and risk of mortality (ROM).

Establishes productive working relationships in regular communications with clinicians, patient care staff, and health information management (HIM), and coding personnel

CDS position is located at La Jolla Campus, but applicant must be able to travel to La Jolla/Hillcrest/East Campus

Excellent communication and query writing skills, background in adult telemetry or ICU.

Proficiency with EPIC and CDS software that uses Computer Assisted Coding e.g. 3M 360, Optum etc. Interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of physicians, advanced practice providers and staff onsite

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (09:00 - 05:00)
