Summary
: The Waste Water Operator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of environmental compliance inside and outside the plant building.
Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognize safety as top Company priority and participate in regularly scheduled safety meetings with plant staff.
- Responsible for environmental compliance including air and water permits.
- Assist in oversite and compliance of odor control plan.
- Oversee Scrubber compliance for air permit.
- Overseeing Scrubber Cleaning, Inspection and Maintenance
- Running wastewater process while keeping in compliance for flow, PH, BOD,TSS, discharge temperature and heavy metals
- Coordinating with Passaic Valley on sewer discharge compliance
- Wastewater sampling
- Coordination with chemical companies for receiving chemicals and continuous improvement.
- Completing weekly utility report
- Capable of assisting in all aspects of maintenance, preventative maintenance, manages breakdowns and repairs.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts in all areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for achieving individual and department targets, goals and objectives.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical school Certificate or Associates Degree
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience is required, preferably in an industrial or agricultural setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Experience Running DAF or Packed towers
- Ability to complete tasks and remain flexible with process changes
- Good understanding of production maintenance and repair protocols.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift-up to 100lbs.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a rendering facility as well as the surrounding grounds of the facility which requires tolerance for wet and/or slippery floors, and high heat and/or cold temperatures.
