Wellness Program Coordinator - PART-TIME TEMPORARY

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a TEMPORARY Wellness Program Coordinator for a PART-TIME (20 hours per week) this is an on site position to start as soon as possible

This position will coordinate fitness & wellness activities for the health and wellness department and assist with the overall management and supervision of the onsite Fitness Center. He/she will be responsible for the development and implementation of group fitness class schedules, personal training program, new hire orientation, educational workshops, wellness committees, incentive programs, health fairs, special events etc. Develops marketing strategies that will elicit new members and retain our membership base that serves our Associates, volunteers, contractors and residents/students.

Assists Wellness Manager with training, scheduling and evaluating fitness instructors. Provide oversight of all fitness operations and equipment including but not limited to; maintenance of equipment and recommending purchases as needed; including budget recommendations and resource allocations. Other duties include assisting in the overall management of the department, specifically in the areas of customer service, policy enforcement, event coordination such as onsite Biometric Screening events, and promotional efforts; and pursuit of continuous professional development through certification by a nationally accredited fitness and/or wellness association.

Position Responsibilities

• Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, as may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor
• Serve as the liaison between the Employee Wellness Department and the Fitness Center.
• Design, implement & coordinate, and evaluate physical activity challenges and events to promote member engagement and retention.
• Manage employee payroll deductions for fitness center.
• Track utilization of monthly membership visits to facility including group fitness class attendance.
• Ensure all health information is securely maintained and all personally identifiable health information is kept private.
• Work cooperatively, efficiently, and effectively with Nemours managers, employees, and outside vendors to communicate and promote the program.
• Coordinate with wellness vendor and internal resources to support employee wellness incentive program.
• Produce monthly reports and ensure monthly visits are properly credited for wellness incentive program.
• Assist wellness manager with other specific projects including flu blitz events, biometric screening events, new hire orientation and wellness committee meetings.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in one or more of the following fields: Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Health Science, Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related healthcare field. Previous experience in onsite wellness programming, health screenings, coaching, data analytics and national certifications such as ACSM, ACE or NSCA preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS required
• ACSM Fitness Instructor, Wellness Coach and/or Registered Dietitian preferred
• At least 2 years experience working in the health care industry is preferred.
