Base salary determined by qualifications, skills, experience, and training.

Schedule Details : Nights, 8 and 12 hour shifts, every third weekend rotation, and holiday rotation.

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit to care for a diverse and complex patient population, including :

Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.

Patients experiencing hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .

A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, along with medical overflow cases .

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care.

Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking to support optimal patient outcomes.

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs using the nursing process and plan individualized interventions.

Recognize significant changes in patient condition, status, and needs for care.

Evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking appropriate actions when necessary.

Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by AHA.

Education Required :

Completion of an accredited Nursing program.

Experience Required :

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Skills & Abilities Required :

Progression in providing holistic patient care with a patient and family focus.

Recognize changes requiring timely and effective interventions.

Proficient in computer skills, electronic medical records, and communication.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team members.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach, and twist frequently.

Lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.

Push / pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform sliding transfers with assistance.

Potential exposure to hazardous materials and blood; personal protective equipment is provided.

Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch, with fine motor skills for procedures.
