Power BI Developer

Job Title : Power BI Developer

Location : Jackson, MS (Remote)

Duration : 12+ Months Contract

Required Experience

Minimum 7+ years of experience in Power BI development and business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Prototype, design, develop, and publish Power BI reports and dashboards

Develop and optimize Power BI data models (M Query, DAX, Data Modeling)

Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and dashboard-level access controls

Integrate dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded

Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather reporting and analytics requirements

Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews for BI team members

Troubleshoot reporting issues and optimize report performance

Create and modify database tables and views; optimize SQL queries

Ensure Agile / Scrum practices are followed during development

Estimate work effort and meet project timelines

Required Skills

Strong experience in Power BI (M Query, DAX, Data Modeling, RLS)

Experience developing business dashboards and reporting solutions

Strong SQL skills (preferably SQL Server )

Experience working with multiple data sources

Analytical ability to convert complex data into meaningful reports

Experience working in Agile environments

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform , including Azure AD and Azure ecosystem

Understanding of security concepts (access control, data security)

Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification
