MedStar Health is looking for a Non Invasive Peripheral Vascular Technologist to join our team at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital.

As a Vascular Technologist, Assists Manager and Medical Director in coordinating daily activities of vascular laboratory, including delegating duties and assisting in evaluating the performance of more junior lab personnel. Provides training/orientation for new staff as required. Performs full range of duties of staff Non-Invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory Technician.

Primary Duties:

• Assists leadership in managing daily activities, training new staff, and evaluating team performance within the vascular lab.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient testing schedules, ensuring patient stability for transport and timely response to emergencies.
• Performs a wide range of vascular diagnostic tests both in-lab and at various patient care sites, while collecting and managing patient data for clinical and research use.
• Calibrates, tests, and maintains lab equipment; oversees inventory and supply ordering to ensure smooth lab functionality.
• Provides preliminary test results, prepares documentation for patient records, supports research efforts, and manages timesheets in the absence of leadership.

Qualifications:

• • Completion of an ARDMS recognized school in vascular technology, with knowledge of symptomatology, the disease process, anatomy and medical terminology (required)
  • 1-2 year's of progressively more responsible job-related experience in non-invasive vascular laboratory performing vascular procedures. Work experience can be substituted for new grads with at least one year internship experience (required)
