Responsibilities

:
* Database Management: Oversee the administration of databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security in both SQL Server and Oracle environments.
* Support Operations: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical database environments, ensuring swift resolution of issues and minimal downtime.
* Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning and automation to enhance database efficiency, utilizing industry best practices and tools.
* Scripting & Automation: Develop and implement scripts in PowerShell and Python to streamline database maintenance tasks, monitoring, and performance tuning.
* Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, network engineers, and system administrators to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in high availability and high transactional systems.
* Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations, implementing backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
* Scaling Solutions: Design and implement scaling solutions for database clusters to support growth and meet performance demands.
* Installation & Configuration: Oversee the installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of SQL Server and Cassandra database systems.
* Customer Interaction: Engage with stakeholders in IT Supply Chain to understand requirements, provide insights, and ensure database solutions align with business objectives.
