Adjunct Instructor, Honors College – Writing (Rolling Pool)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the course objectives
• Meet all designated course instruction guidelines
• Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
• Submit final grades according to College and department policies

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English or a related field, with experience teaching writing
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience teaching university-level writing
• Experience in the teaching of research writing as well as expository writing preferred

Salary Range:Minimum of $1,437 per credit hour

FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt

Hours per Week: 28
