The Addiction Treatment team is hiring a Full-Time Addiction Treatment Activities Therapist to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Pay Range: $23.50 - $27.30 / hourly

Addiction Treatment Activities Therapist Position Responsibilities:

• Works in conjunction with rehabilitation therapists to foster personal growth and self-awareness for patients.
• Executes a "learning-by-doing" approach which encompasses topics including: leisure, fitness, recreational skills, art, assertiveness, trust, self-esteem, communication skills and stress management.

Addiction Treatment Activities Therapist Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Recreation Therapy.
• Must be certified as a rehabilitation counselor or qualified health professional with one year of experience and/or training in providing recreation, occupation and/or rehabilitation services
• Experience and knowledge of human dynamics.
• Valid New York State driver's license.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Credentialed Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or other certification recognized as "Qualified Health Provider" (QHP) in New York State required.
