Senior Integrated Marketing Specialist (Contract)

The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Senior Integrated Marketing Specialist (IC6) for a maternity cover from February 1 to June 30, 2026, reporting to the Senior Manager of Integrated Marketing. This role will lead key marketing initiatives with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring continuity and high performance during a critical period for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated marketing communication campaigns from strategy through execution and measurement, including identifying data-driven objectives, setting clear KPIs, segmenting audiences, and defining the campaign's channel mix.
• Manage general paid media planning, execution, optimizations, and reporting.
• Drive product marketing initiatives, including campaign planning, messaging, and cross-functional alignment.
• Support the Website Refresh project, leading the content strategy and development to ensure brand alignment and increase user engagement.
• Collaborate with Product, Brand Studio, Fundraising, External Comms, and other teams across the Wikimedia Foundation to deliver innovative marketing programs that drive global growth and engagement.
• Maintain brand consistency and quality across all marketing campaigns and assets.
• Manage external agencies (e.g. creative, media, digital) to ensure high-quality delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
• Enable a smooth handover and support the returning colleague's reintegration after leave.

Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in Marketing with extensive knowledge of Marketing Communications.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-channel Comms campaigns with minimal supervision.
• Expertise in paid media strategy, execution, and optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing creative and production workflows, both internally and with agencies.
• Experience in global marketing and working with diverse international teams.

The Wikimedia Foundation is a remote-first organization with staff members including contractors based 40+ countries. Salaries at the Wikimedia Foundation are set in a way that is competitive, equitable, and consistent with our values and culture. The anticipated annual pay range of this position for applicants based within the United States is US$44/hour to US$69/hour with multiple individualized factors, including cost of living in the location, being the determinants of the offered pay. For applicants located outside of the US, the pay range will be adjusted to the country of hire. We neither ask for nor take into consideration the salary history of applicants. The compensation for a successful applicant will be based on their skills, experience and location.
