How You’ll Make An Impact

As Sales Director you will hold a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving advertising revenue. You will grow revenue by developing sales strategies, managing a high‑performance sales team, and executing effective sales techniques.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute the organization’s outside sales strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead and manage a team of outside sales professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance support.
  • Work with the sales team to develop comprehensive sales plans, including territory plans, account targeting strategies, and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including major accounts and strategic partners.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of outside sales activities and track sales metrics.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the outside sales team.
  • Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, conducting research and analyzing competitor offerings.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as marketing, product management, and operations to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • 10+ years of experience in the media industry.
  • 5+ years of track record of building, coaching, and scaling high‑performing teams.
  • Strong track record of success in developing and executing advertising campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of the advertising landscape, including the different types of campaigns, target audiences, and messaging.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at the client level as well as media and creative agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
  • At SiriusXM we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation. This role’s base salary range is $125,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The role may also be eligible for discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
