YOUR ROLE
The primary goal for this position is to prevent and reduce substance misuse among youth and the broader community through collaborative efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in establishing youth advocacy programs, which include scheduling weekly student meetings, collaborating with school advisors, and coordinating training, activities, and recruitment efforts.
- Help create and distribute the monthly coalition newsletter to keep the community informed.
- Work with the Project Director and Coalition Chair to document and share meeting minutes and other communications with coalition members.
- Maintain up-to-date and relevant content on the coalition's website and social media platforms.
- Support the coordination of additional coalition activities based on community needs and interests.
- Facilitate youth program support and communication initiatives.
- Lead small groups of middle and high school students in developing skills as leaders, community advocates, and peer educators focused on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug awareness.
- Participate in committee meetings as required.
- Promote and ensure a safe working environment as a top priority.
