If you're ready to take on a new challenge supporting the U.S. Navy, we're looking for a Video Teleconferencing (VTC) & Mobile Device Technician who's eager to ensure successful communications for thriving naval headquarters.

Position Description: The Video Teleconferencing & Mobile Device Technician is responsible for providing user support for VTC communications and mobile devices in support of U.S Navy onsite headquarters staff.

Minimum/General Experience: 5 years of experience working with Cisco Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems

Minimum Education: High School diploma

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Above average experience with Cisco Video Teleconferencing systems
• Above average experience with Active Directory databases
• Above average experience with Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Above average experience supporting Apple IOS and Android IOS
• Experience supporting VTC scheduling
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail skills
• Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships
• Ability to collaborate and problem-solve in a team environment

General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment.

• Assignment Location - COMNAVSURFLANT (CNSL), Naval Base, Norfolk, VA
• Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
• Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
• Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.

Security: Must have an active Secret security clearance to be considered; Ability to maintain a DoD Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship

DoD Clearance Consists of a review of up to but not limited to:

• Covers 10 year period and in some instances lifetime events
• OPM Security Investigations Index (SII)
• DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)
• National Agency Check (NAC) records
• FBI name check
• FBI fingerprint check
• Credit report check
• A check of local law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction over the areas where the applicant has lived, worked, or attended school
• Education check- Attendance and Degrees
• Employment verification -may include interviews of supervisors and/or co-workers
• Corroboration of unemployment
• May include reference interviews
• May include interviews of the individual, former spouse (s)
• Confirmation of all residences
• Verification of public record information

Acceptable Credentials

Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides technical and VTC systems modernization support services to headquarters officer staff
• Provides computer resource and technical services related to the maintenance and modernization of Fla Officer and Staff VTC systems
• Provides configuration and end user support for government mobile devices
• Ensures VTC systems are operational daily
• Communicates VTC outages and scheduled maintenance to command as needed
• Schedules VTC resources and initiates video conferences

Compensation & Benefits: The annual projected pay range for this position is $53,712 - $73,752 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
