Early Intervention Specialist - Therapeutic
HOURLY PAY: $ plus mileage reimbursement
Positions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to quickly build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in certain areas

Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention specialized services for infants and toddlers where they can naturally learn and develop.
- Plan, schedule and provide weekly early educational in-home services for a caseload of infant/toddlers with disabilities including developmental delays and programs for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders.
- Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Design, implement, and adapt activities for language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents/guardians with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in health/human services-related major required If you do not have a Bachelor's Degree: May consider Associate's degree (or equivalent) PLUS 2 years of experience working/volunteering with children Some coursework in Early Childhood education or Human Development, Psychology, sociology, or related, is required
- Experience: One year experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians *if candidate has Bachelor's degree, then experience may not be required
- License: Valid CA driver’s license in good standing; Also must have at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state)
- Vehicle: Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage
- Skills/Characteristics: Effective communication skills to manage relationships A compassionate approach A commitment to quality in everything you do Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Availability: most sessions will be during the day time on the week days, but some flexibility with availability including some evenings and weekend times may be needed
- Working environment: Services provided in the home of children in program and their parents/guardians
