Service Engineer
Pay range: $63-77k DOE

Position Summary
This position reports to the Technical Support Supervisor and is responsible for working directly with the external customers, internal service, sales, engineering and other departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fielding and troubleshooting customer service inquiries.
Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling units, applying knowledge of engineering theory and components.
Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with customers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.
Test units using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.
Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or components, using hand tools.
Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of engineering theory, using hand tools.
Visit customer sites, as necessary, to repair or commission equipment.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and have hand and finger dexterity. The employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. In an office setting, the employee may occasionally, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job operates in and out of a professional office environment. This position will have work that may be in an office or manufacturing setting. This position interacts with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner, while keeping information confidential as needed. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and copiers. While in the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; heat; cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. Mandatory PPE must be worn as required. When traveling, work environment will be dependent on remote work sites.
