Now Hiring: Travel Director of Nursing (DON) - RN Required
Are you a seasoned Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in nursing leadership and a passion for travel? We are seeking a dynamic Travel Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team, covering multiple nursing home locations and filling DON vacancies as needed. The ideal candidate will be based in the Dayton, Ohio market and be willing to travel extensively.
Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities:
- Serve as the interim Director of Nursing (DON) at various nursing home locations, ensuring seamless leadership during transitions and vacancies.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of nursing operations, including staff supervision, care planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess clinical practices, implement quality improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with facility administrators and other department heads to promote a cohesive and effective care environment.
- Monitor clinical outcomes, address resident and family concerns, and ensure resident satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing nursing homes.
Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio; multi-state licensure preferred.
- Extensive experience in a leadership role within long-term care or skilled nursing facilities, preferably as a Director of Nursing.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing home operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively between nursing home locations.
- Highly organized and adaptable, with a proactive approach to managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Travel DON or similar role.
- Based in the Dayton, OH market or willing to relocate.
