Travel Nursing Job Details

Unit : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Employment Type : Travel RN

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week)

Openings : 2 Med / Surg RN positions

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,510 - $1,620 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Ohio or compact state

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent clinical bedside experience in Med / Surg (2 years preferred)

Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical support skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission

Develop individualized care plans and identify patient and family teaching needs

Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record

Participate in patient rehabilitation, discharge planning, and clinical support activities

Communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary healthcare team

Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff

Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety procedures

Foster a positive and efficient work environment through teamwork and effective communication

Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs
