ISMIRA Agency is excited to invite enthusiastic candidates to apply for the position of Server with Virgin Voyages!

WHAT WE OFFER :

  • Contracts typically last 4-6 months, while entry-level positions may extend to 7 months.

  • We take care of your essential expenses, including STCW certification, joining tickets, Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME), necessary visas, and joining expenses such as transfers and hotel accommodations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Deliver an exceptional experience to our guests at all times.
  • Have comprehensive knowledge of the menu items, cooking methods, and beverage selections available in your assigned outlet.
  • Know table arrangements, capacities, operating hours, and menus in your designated restaurant or outlet.
  • Prepare tables according to restaurant standards, ensuring cleanliness and organization, aligned with company and USPH regulations.
  • Greet Sailors as they arrive and bid them farewell as they depart your tables.
  • Present the menu and recommend food and beverage options enthusiastically.
  • Fulfill dietary requirements and note special requests for communication with the Matre dhtel and Galley.
  • Take orders efficiently and update Sailors about any food delivery delays.
  • Ensure timely delivery of food, monitoring temperature and presentation standards according to service procedures.
  • Engage with each table, gathering feedback to guarantee Sailor satisfaction.
  • Utilize restaurant products and equipment economically, adhering to proper handling guidelines.
  • Report Sailor issues, special requests, and complaints to your Supervisor or Manager, while helping to resolve them whenever possible.
  • Accurately enter Sailor orders into the system and monitor for necessary corrections.
  • Familiarize yourself with all available cruise services and features to assist Sailor inquiries competently.
  • Comply with the company’s alcohol policy, notifying the Restaurant Manager if violations occur.
  • Assist with embarkation / disembarkation and luggage handling as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks in restaurant, Room Service, and Crew Dining Service as required.

    • WHAT YOU NEED :

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • At least 2 years of recent experience as a Waiter / Server on a cruise ship or in a 4 / 5-star hotel / resort or restaurant.
  • Passion for service and a positive attitude, even when handling guest complaints.
  • All necessary STCW certification for this role.
  • Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
