Clinical Dietitian

Overview

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Clinical Dietitian to support UC Health Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH, providing medical nutrition therapy for medical and surgical inpatient units with additional backup coverage for the NICU. This role is a great opportunity for both experienced dietitians or new graduates with internship experience in the NICU or pediatrics.

What You'll Do

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for medical and surgical inpatient units
• Serve as backup coverage for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed
• Conduct nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document according to established standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on nutrition interventions and discharge planning
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and departmental projects

What You Bring

• Registered Dietitian and licensure in the state of Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage diverse patient caseloads
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Internship or prior experience in NICU or pediatric nutrition, preferred

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
