Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Senior Inpatient Facility Certified Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient services and ensure adherence to coding guidelines

Abstract additional data during the Chart Review process and provide documentation feedback to providers

Maintain coding knowledge and participate in departmental meetings and educational events

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED or higher

Professional coder certification from AHIMA and / or AAPC

3+ years of Acute Care inpatient medical coding experience

2+ years of experience in a Level 2 trauma center or teaching hospital

2+ years of ICD-10 (CM & PCS) and DRG coding experience
