Expected Salary :
$47,500 - $55,000; commensurate with education and experience
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and digital marketing strategy aligned with the college's communications goals.
Develop content for social networking sites (e.g., Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn) including writing, designing, and deployment of images, GIFs, short videos, and open‑source materials.
Assist with all college and departmental email marketing campaigns (e.g., graduate student recruitment, reputation promotion, faculty awards, grant announcements, center launches, anniversaries).
Assist with developing content for annual college events, special college events, graduate student recruitment emails, and online advertising.
Identify opportunities to highlight college stories, achievements, and events across university and external digital platforms.
Analyze performance metrics and provide regular insights and recommendations to enhance reach and engagement.
Coordinate with marketing and communication team members and internal college reps—work closely with units and departments across HWCOE to amplify digital presence and maintain consistent messaging; establish and maintain brand and content guidelines; monitor and respond to audience interactions; communicate regularly with college MARCOM, departments, College Development Office, unit administrators, and University social media staff.
Support and coordinate implementation of online and social media—stay updated on industry best practices, pilot new technologies, advise department marketers on latest tools and analytics.
Benchmark against competitor institutions’ online media presence and advise college MARCOM and team members of changes and updates.
Serve as support to college on special projects as requested.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with social media planning, posting, interacting and analyzing Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts.
Proven success in curating targeted social media engagement for specific stakeholders.
Proven success in developing online, social and event outreach content for specific target audiences.
Experience working in higher education, nonprofit or science / engineering communications.
Working knowledge of SEO, paid digital campaigns and email marketing tools.
Experience in student recruitment.
Demonstrated ability to deploy the latest online and electronic platforms, delivery technologies and benchmarking tools.
Excellent communicator and team player.
Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Familiarity with ADA compliance and accessibility standards for digital content.
