Physician / Chief Medical Officer / Indiana / Locum or Permanent / Chief Medical Director Job

A Chief Medical Director is needed for a diversified, multi-national healthcare enterprise offering both core Medicaid and specialty services in metro Indiana. They will consider a physician leader/executive within a hospital system.

Qualifications

• Board Certified MD or DO in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
• Volunteer patient care is required.
• Prior Managed Care experience is a plus.
• Prior Medical Director or Physician Leadership experience necessary.

Job Requirements

This CMD will direct and coordinate the medical management, quality improvement, and credentialing functions, while supporting the strategic plan and establishing strategic vision.

This person would serve as clinical advisor to and educator of medical management staff and oversee internal medical review guidelines while performing medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, and medical review of complex, controversial, or experimental medical services.
