Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $, to $, per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and ensure they follow required accounting standards.
Lead the finance team by providing guidance, reviewing work, and supporting performance expectations.
Review financial information to improve reporting practices and strengthen internal processes.
Maintain financial controls and support both short term and long term planning efforts.
Oversee audit related work by ensuring policies, records, and documentation are current and accurate.
Requirements:
Ability to manage accounting functions including grant activity, compliance work, and risk review.
Skill in streamlining accounting routines and improving how financial information flows across systems.
Prior experience preparing financial statements, revenue summaries, and other reports used for leadership review.
Strong communication skills for partnering with internal teams and supporting audit and compliance needs.
Ability to understand system interactions and troubleshoot financial modules and data connections.
Qualifications:
7+ years of accounting experience in a similar environment.
CPA credential along with a degree in accounting, business, or related field.
Previous experience with audits, including single audit requirements.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to manage reporting under tight deadlines.
Prior experience with financial systems and advanced proficiency with Excel.
