A company is looking for a Senior Editor to lead its editorial efforts in transforming complex scientific topics into engaging narratives.
Key Responsibilities
Act as an internal journalist, interviewing researchers to identify key stories and maintain the editorial calendar
Build and manage a team of freelance writers and creators, ensuring high standards of content quality
Collaborate with Growth and PR teams to maximize story reach and track editorial impact using data-driven insights
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in science writing or journalism
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in life sciences, computer science, or a related field
Exceptional writing and interviewing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating the ability to engage diverse audiences
Understanding of multi-channel content distribution
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
