Low Voltage Technician Helper / Apprentice

Job Summary

We are seeking a Low Voltage Technician Helper (Apprentice level) to support low-voltage installations in residential apartment communities . This role is ideal for individuals with basic cabling experience who are comfortable working on active jobsites and assisting lead technicians with daily installation tasks. This is a hands-on position focused on learning teamwork and delivering a positive customer experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist lead technicians with low-voltage cabling installations in residential apartment environments

Pull route and secure low-voltage and network cabling for security camera systems

Perform rough-in work including drilling and cutting drywall for access holes as directed

Support cable management labeling and basic cleanup of work areas

Follow direction from lead technicians and site supervisors

Maintain a clean professional and safe jobsite at all times

Interact professionally with property staff and residents; represent the company positively on-site

Required Experience & Skills

Prior experience pulling cable (low voltage data or similar)

Comfortable working in residential apartment units and common areas

Familiar with basic construction environments and jobsite expectations

Ability to use basic hand tools such as :

Snips

Screwdrivers

Drills (basic use)

Ability to cut drywall cleanly and accurately for access as needed

Strong work ethic great attitude and willingness to learn

Able to follow safety requirements and jobsite rules

Note : This is not a lead or expert-level position. We are specifically seeking tech helpers / apprentice-level candidates with foundational experience.

High-visibility vest required at all times

Safety glasses required

Proper work attire (boots durable work pants appropriate shirts)

Adherence to all site-specific safety protocols

Customer Service Expectations

Must be customer-service oriented

Comfortable working around residents and property management

Polite respectful and professional at all times

Able to take direction and adjust work as needed to minimize disruption

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Ability to climb ladders and work overhead

Comfortable standing bending and working for extended periods
