[job_card.job_description]Job Description Job Title Physical Therapist (PT) Job Summary A Travel Physical Therapist is needed to provide acute inpatient physical therapy services. The PT will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses including general medical deconditioning, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, general orthopedic patients, and CVA. The PT will work primarily in the medical/surgical, ICU, and ER areas. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide physical therapy services in the medical/surgical, ICU, and ER areas. Document patient progress and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. Participate in hospital and department orientation programs. Float to various units as needed. Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in California (CA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Acute Inpatient PT experience is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Cerner charting system. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical skills in evaluating and treating a variety of patient populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in documenting patient care. Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments. Shift Details 8-hour Days, Days. Every Other Weekend (EOW). First to float. Mostly 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with occasional working one day a week 10-6:30. One weekend every third weekend, with the Monday and Friday off those weekends. Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week. Licensing Requirements Valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of California.
