This highly visible position will be deeply involved in all phases of mergers acquisitions (MA), strategic investments, and structuring strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a high-performing professional with robust financial expertise and transaction experience. The role will report directly to the SVP of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development. / ppThis role will be required to be based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY. / ph3What Youll Be Working On : / h3pMergers Acquisitions (MA) and Divestitures / pulliMarket Mapping and Origination : candidate will work across the organizations business units and functions in order to identify acquisition targets from a sector-first perspective. This includes creating and maintaining market maps, thematic research projects and direct outreach to targets. / liliTransaction Execution : Support the end-to-end MA process, including target identification, strategic rationale development, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing. / liliFinancial Modeling Valuation : Build and maintain complex financial models (Valuation and merger model, Accretion / Dilution analyses, and precedent transaction analyses) to evaluate potential acquisition / liliDue Diligence : Coordinate and manage cross-functional due diligence teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, etc.), synthesizing key findings and developing risk mitigation strategies. Work closely with third-party providers. / liliMarket Analysis : Conduct industry and competitive landscape analysis within the Industrials, Energy, and Real Estate sectors to identify strategic market gaps and attractive investment opportunities. / liliPrepare and present on transaction rationale to Executive Leadership team (possibly the Board of Directors) / li / ulpStrategic Investments Partnerships / pulliSourcing and Evaluation : Evaluate strategic investment and partnership opportunities that align with the companys long-term growth objectives. / liliDeal Structuring : Assist in the structuring and negotiation of terms for joint ventures, strategic alliances, and minority investments. / liliBusiness Case Development : Create compelling investment memorandums and presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors, outlining strategic fit, financial implications, and execution plans. / li / ulpGeneral Corporate Development / pulliPipeline Management : Help manage and maintain a robust pipeline of potential MA and investment targets. / liliCommercial-facing Activities : attend conferences and travel to various industry events in order to aid in origination and market intelligence / liliReporting : Prepare detailed analytical reports and presentations on key market trends, portfolio performance, and deal progress for internal stakeholders. / liliCross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with internal business unit leaders to assess strategic needs and integration plans. / li / ulh3What Youll Bring to the Team : / h3ulli1-3+ years of experience in Investment Banking (Analyst or Associate level), Corporate Development, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory Services. / liliDirect experience working on MA transactions taking a core role in structuring and modeling various scenarios and preparing transaction screening memos / liliStrong coverage experience or deep sector knowledge within Industrials, Energy, and / or Real Estate is highly preferred. / liliExceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, with an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. / liliOutstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex financial and strategic analysis into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations. / liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior executives and external partners. / liliHigh degree of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under tight deadlines. / liliA proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently while being a strong team player. / liliBachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field. / li / ulh3Benefits : / h3ulliIndustry competitive pay / liliRestricted Stock Units in a fast growing, well-funded technology company / liliHealth insurance package options that include HDHP and PPO, vision, and dental for you and your dependents / liliEmployer contributions to HSA accounts / liliPaid Parental Leave / liliPaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability / liliTeladoc / lili401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of salary / liliGenerous paid time off and holiday schedule / liliCell phone reimbursement / liliTuition reimbursement / liliSubscription to the Calm app / liliMetLife Legal / liliCompany paid commuter benefit; $300 / month / li / ulpCompensation will be paid in the range of up to $100,000-$140,000 + Bonus.
