The Consumer Lending Processor will play a crucial role in the loan origination process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in preparing loan documents and facilitating the disbursement of loan proceeds. Your responsibilities will also include verifying loan stipulations, performing quality control checks, securing lien perfection documentation, communicating with indirect sales teams and loan officers, and managing loan servicing and modifications. In addition, you will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of consumer loan regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence and compliance.
Essential Functions :
- Verify and Close Loans
- Prepare accurate and compliant loan documents : Utilize loan processing software and systems to prepare loan documents accurately, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Verify loan terms, borrower information, and other relevant details to ensure accuracy. Maintain accurate records and follow retention requirements.
- Collect and verify loan stipulations : Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, indirect finance teams, and other parties to collect necessary documentation and information required for loan processing. Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of the collected documents, ensuring they meet established guidelines and requirements.
- Facilitate the disbursement of loan funds to borrowers or designated accounts, adhering to established disbursement procedures and regulations. Coordinate with relevant parties, such as applicants, indirect finance teams, sellers, and loan officers, to ensure accurate and timely fund distribution.
- Secure Lien Perfection and Perform Title Maintenance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and verify all required lien perfection documents, including titles and supporting required documentation, lien releases, and UCC filings. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documentation to achieve lien perfection status.
- Assist in loan servicing activities, including payment processing, account maintenance, and customer inquiries. Collaborate with loan officers and borrowers to facilitate loan modifications, such as extensions, payment adjustments, or refinancing.
- Adhere to underwriting standards, regulatory requirements, and member service standards.
- Perform quality control on acquired loan data : Conduct thorough reviews of loan files and data to identify any inconsistencies, errors, or missing information. Perform data validation and verification to ensure data integrity throughout the loan process.
- Participate in training and development
- Stay up to date with relevant federal, state, and local consumer loan regulations, including but not limited to Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines, and fair lending practices.
- Adhere to internal policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all loan processing activities.
- Assist internal and external members
- Communicate effectively with internal and external teams, including loan officers and indirect finance teams, to provide timely and accurate updates on funding status and delays.

High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education or certification in banking, finance, or related field is a plus.A minimum of one year of proven experience as a consumer lending processor or in a similar role within the financial industry is required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
