Cutting Machine Operator (Full-Time, Hourly)

Location : Conover, NC

Pay rate : Starts at $20 an hour

Job Type : Temp to Hire

We are seeking a dependable Cutting Machine Operator to operate Gerber Z and / or Taurus cutting machines to accurately cut fabric and leather for furniture production. This role is responsible for loading materials, inspecting for defects, and running the correct cutting programs based on production tickets.

Schedule :

Monday–Thursday : 6 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM

Friday : 6 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 AM

Overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities :

Operate Gerber Z and / or Taurus cutting machines

Load rolls of fabric and leather onto cutting machines

Inspect materials for flaws prior to cutting

Load and run correct cutting programs per production tickets

Meet production goals while following all safety procedures

Qualifications :

1+ year experience operating cutting machines (Gerber Z / Taurus preferred)

Ability to read rulers and production tickets

Strong attention to detail and communication skills

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., stand / walk for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Forklift / order picker certification or ability to obtain

High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Work Environment :

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing facility; PPE required.
