Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our outpatient Infusion Centers, you will deliver holistic, quality nursing care to patients and their families. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments and offering effective symptom management and education for patients and families.
• Administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to maintain continuity of care through various treatment stages.
• Coordinating with provider offices to schedule patient infusion visits.
• Triage patients using pathways and work with physicians for symptom management and necessary referrals within your RN scope of practice.
• Managing a caseload of patients receiving diverse infusion and oral therapies on an outpatient basis.
• Demonstrating the ability to handle complex workloads while ensuring high-quality patient care.
• Communicating effectively across various platforms to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance safety and focus on patient experiences.
• Participating in clinical support programs to optimize care across the healthcare continuum.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or must obtain within first month of hire)

Education:

• BSN strongly preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of previous Oncology Nursing experience strongly preferred
